About us

Tredders is a small, friendly, high-quality shoe shop based in Northampton. Established in 1979, it is run by local businessman David Appleton who has strong roots in the area. As well as offering a great range of shoes and boots online, you can also find us at many of the UK's country shows.

Tredders believes in footwear with style, durability and comfort, and all our shoes, boots and wellingtons are carefully hand-picked with these fundamental attributes in mind.  Tredders sources the finest footwear from manufacturers with long traditions of shoe and boot making, like Alfred Sargent and Regent, as well as modern day manufacturers with their innovative designs, like Muck Boots and Anatomic Gel.

Northampton has a long history of shoemaking, and Tredders emanates from this illustrious past with this thoroughbred range of traditional and modern style shoes, boots and wellies for the discerning footwear client who seeks comfort, style, durability and authenticity.

As well as sourcing the finest products, Tredders is committed to providing clients with the highest possible customer service, attending to each client's specific needs.

Custom made boots and shoes

Each year we also commission a collection of our own shoes and boots designed to our own specifications, with the bespoke 'Mr Tredder' branding on each shoe/boot. This footwear is available to the country shows that we attend. Please contact us for further details.
